Our PhD programme aims at students who completed (or are completing) their Master studies in Physics or Astrophysics. 

Further eligibility criteria are available on the application system (link available only during the application time). 

The application should include a CV, a Letter of Motivation, Bachelor and Master certificates (incl. Transcripts) and two Letters of Recommendation. In the Letter of Motivation please indicate and motivate a preference for one or more of the potential research topics, which are accessible through the online-application tool (link available only during the application time). The selection interviews will offer further opportunities to discuss your interests and other topics.

The programme duration is 36/48 months, depending on the host institution. Salaries and benefits are commensurate with those of public service organisations.
